Community Guidelines
1found1 is a place to find real co-founders. To keep it safe and respectful for everyone, these rules apply. Breaking them can lead to content removal or a ban.
Be real
Use your real name, a real photo of yourself, and truthful information. No fake or impersonating profiles.
Co-founders only
The public pool and the exclusive pool are exclusively for matchmaking between co-founders: people who personally want to start a company or join a founding team. They are not for VCs, angels or other investors scouting deals, and not for recruiters or anyone hiring employees, freelancers or clients. Anyone else we find there gets kicked out. Investors and recruiters have their own separate access: they are in no pool and only see founders who explicitly switched that on beforehand, and even then without name or photo until an intro request is accepted.
Be respectful
No harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, or discrimination, based on gender, origin, religion, orientation, or anything else.
Keep it professional
1found1 is for finding co-founders and professional connections. Keep it professional and respectful, no unwanted advances and no explicit content.
No spam
No advertising, unrelated recruiting, selling, MLM, or mass messaging.
Respect ideas
Don’t steal or misuse other people’s ideas. Remember: anything shared is not automatically confidential, sign your own NDA if needed (see Terms).
Stay safe
Meet by video or in public first, protect your personal and financial information, keep your phone number, address and private email out of chats until you trust the person, and never send money to anyone.
Nothing illegal
No unlawful content or conduct, no fraud, and no infringement of others’ rights.
Report problems
If you see something that breaks these rules, use the in-app report function. We review reports.
Consequences
Depending on severity, we may remove content, issue warnings, or suspend or permanently ban accounts. Serious violations may be reported to the authorities.
